Meet the Captain



My name is Captain Josh Calhoon and I will be your Captain aboard the "My Mistress".

I was born and raised in Destin and grew up fishing which quite frankly is my passion. I love meeting new people and being on the water making unforgettable memories. I am what you would call a people person.  I enjoy engaging conversations with my people to make trips more enjoyable. Come join me aboard the "My Mistress" for an unforgettable day. No matter what level you might consider yourself within the world of fishing expertise, you're welcome aboard.

I love sharing my passion for fishing with beginners. What I enjoy the most is working with kids and bringing them memories to never forget. My favorite thing to hear is when kids reel in a fish and say "WOW that’s the biggest fish I've ever caught".  Those words are what make me love being a captain. Nothing makes me feel better than seeing kids get excited about catching a fish whether it is their first or the biggest fish they have caught. I have been working professionally in the industry since I was 14 and have been hooked since. If I'm not working you can probably still find me somewhere with a rod in my hand. So come along and jump onboard for a day to enjoy with me, Capt.
